My Favorite Finn Songs.

We're approaching it. You know...The Quarterback. The Glee episode giving a memorial to Cory Monteith's characterFinn Hudson. I will be crying and drinking heavily during it. So please brace yourselves for any drunk texts, voicemails or social media updates, that look, or sound like I’m being attacked violently but a bum with a rusty pipe. It’s just me…still grieving.

So here, in no particular order, are 12 of my favorite Finn/Cory songs

Don't Stop Believin'
FOX and their premieres do something to me. It was this final performance from the pilot that had sign the commitment form that I would be attending Glee come fall 2009.

Hello, I Love You
I love any performance where Cory is playing the drums, its organic, since he was a drummer and all.

Faithfully
It's very hard not to love this performance for anyone who shipped Rachel and Finn for the previous 21 episodes. There was the same chemistry from then first did Don't Stop Believin' except an added bonus was Finn finally said I love you to Rachel.

With You I'm Born Again
It's so awkwardly inappropriate and uncomfortable. It’s even more so inappropriate and uncomfortable that it was made for us to hate it, but I LOVED IT (sorry to those I’ve now offended) Finn looks so cute as a priest.

Dammit Janet
This is just a fun song and I love him in those thick black rimmed glasses. That's it.

Just the Way You Are
The sweetest gesture ever. Finn loves his gay stepbrother, and makes it known that he loves him just the way he is.

Pretending
I love the scene with Rachel and Finn before the song. I love the scene with Rachel and Finn before, before the song where she tells him they can't be together. I love they that both wrote songs about their relationship for competitions (re: Get It Right).  I love watching them perform the song and seeing them word by word growing to the conclusion that they belong together.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun
Just Cory and a piano in this cover from a cover of the song. Sometimes I close my eyes in the shower and I pretend he’s singing to me. I’m kidding. I’m kidding. I don’t shower.

I Just Can't Stop Loving You
One of my favorite lines ever on this show is right before the song Finn tells Rachel "Just listen, I always feel like you like hear me better when I'm not talking." Then Rachel comes in on the second verse with “I hear your voice now, you are my choice now.” (well played writers) Then Rachel says yes to his proposal, and we think it's a happy ending forever, or at least until the end of the series...but no. It turns out to be a complete train wreck.

Don't Speak
Even though this was a foursome of a two couple breakup, I enjoyed the song.  And I enjoyed the scene between Rachel and Finn afterwards in the McKinley auditorium. That was some very good acting between Cory and Lea.

Don't Dream It's Over
Give me one of my favorite 80s songs, and give me Cory Montieth singing it? You’ve given me a reason to live.

(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)
Finn's last song (minus Rachel’s audition). What a great, classic fun song. And there’s Cory on the drums. Epic. Mark Salling and him do a great cover, almost sounding like the Beastie Boys.

Uh. Still not over it.
